KHEER ( MILKY RICE )


   KHEER

      INGREDIENTS:
  1. Gobindobhog Rice  -  ¼ cup
  2. Raisins  -  2 tablespoons
  3. Cashew   -  2 tablespoons
  4. Almond   -  1 tablespoons
  5. Milk  -  500ml
  6. Bay leaves  - 2
  7. Cinnamon stick  -  1 inch 
  8. Cardamom pods  -  2
  9. Cardamom powder  -  ½ teaspoon
  10. Date palm jaggery  -  ¼ cup
    METHOD:
  1. Take a bowl.
  2. Pour ¼ cup gobindobhog rice into the bowl.
  3. Rinse the rice in clean water for  4 to 5 times.
  4. The rice soaked in water for 30 minutes .
  5. 2 tablespoons raisins and 2 tablespoons cashew soaked in water.
  6. 1 tablespoon almond soaked in water.
  7. Drain water and keep the rice aside.
  8. Take a kadhai or heavy bottom pan.
  9. Add 500 ml milk.
  10. Add 2 bay leaves.
  11. Add 2 half inch cinnamon stick.
  12. Add 2 cardamom pods. 
  13. When milk comes to boil, reduce the flame to low and add soaked ¼ cup gobindobhog rice.
  14. Cook the rice for 15 minutes in low flame. Stir frequently.
  15. After 15 minutes add soaked 2 tablespoons raisins and 2 tablespoons chopped cashew. Mix well.
  16. Add soaked 1 tablespoon chopped almond and mix well.
  17. Add cardamom powder ½ teaspoon and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
  18. After 5 minutes turn off the gas, let it cool for 5 minutes.
  19. After 5 minutes add date palm jaggery. mix well.
  20. Mix it well.
  21. Now ready to serve.

1. Take a bowl.

14. Cook the rice for 15 minutes in low flame. Stir frequently.


15. After 15 minutes add soaked 2 tablespoons raisins and 2 tablespoons chopped cashew. Mix well.



16. Add soaked 1 tablespoon chopped almond and mix well.


17. Add cardamom powder ½ teaspoon and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.


18. After 5 minutes turn off the gas, let it cool for 5 minutes.


19. After 5 minutes add date palm jaggery. mix well.


20. Mix it well.


21. Ready to serve.
